“We have loved our house and Hurst is the best village to live in – which is why we don’t want to leave and if we could pick our house up and move it, we would! We want to stay in the village but looking to up size. We’ve loved the location, it’s really quiet and the neighbours are great. We live in the kitchen so had to make that a large, impressive entertaining area with lots of cupboards and lots of counter-top space – it’s perfect for large family gatherings! We converted the loft into a large bedroom and en-suite but now our 2 boys share that space so we converted it into 2 bedrooms with a stud wall between but could be changed back easily. This is such a great family home and we have been really happy here and will be sad to leave!” – Jon and Caroline.

This house is packed with character! Being the old Bakery, history was made here and anybody who grew up, or who’s family grew up in Hurstpierpoint will remember the bakery and the outside wall being part of the old bake-house is a landmark in the village!

Being on Western Road is absolutely perfect for easy walking distance to the village centre, walking to Hurstpierpoint College or just enjoying a Sunday afternoon countryside hike with the family. It’s also convenient for driving onto the A23 with routes to Brighton, Haywards Heath and surrounding villages, and Hassocks Train Station provides a mainline link to London so is great for commuters or a day trip into Brighton.

Bought as a 2 bed semi-detached house in 2007, the current owners have completely renovated this into a perfect family home. They have maintained the character whilst adding modern touches, used the space very well and clearly have a good eye for renovations as the decoration is beautiful!

Amongst the work done has been a rear kitchen/dining room extension which opens up the area into a stunning entertaining space and has a certain *wow factor* with a modern, fitted kitchen including white units, wooden worktops and built-in appliances. A downstairs bathroom has also been added with a modern white suite. Again – absolutely perfect for a family! The other main development was the loft conversion made into a large master bedroom and en-suite. That has now been changed into 2 bedrooms with a stud wall between which has been perfect for the two older children. Nonetheless, you could change the area back into the bedroom/en-suite easily if you chose to do so.

Furthermore, on the ground floor at the front of the property is a beautiful, characteristic living area with chimney breast and wooden flooring, at the rear is a paved backyard, and to the front is a driveway with space for two cars. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms and a family bathroom with modern white suite and tasteful decor.

This really is the PERFECT family home in a popular location of Hurstpierpoint at a competitive price! Viewings are by appointment only so please call Hunters on 01444 254400 to arrange a viewing.
