My partner and I haven't competed our move yet but we would like to give a review for Fin as he has been such a great help to us this early on in the process.Firstly, We arranged to have our first viewing for the property which was unfortunately cut short. We felt like we hadn't had enough time to view the property. We spoke to Fin and he managed to arrange a viewing on a Bank holiday at short notice. This was very much appreciated.Secondly, We were let down by our Mortgage Advisor which caused us a lot of stress and disappointment. We felt like there was nothing we could do to resolve the situation. I wanted to write a review in relation to the purchase of my property, in particular a member of your sales progression team, Claire Hunter.The purchase of this property has to be one of the most stressful frustrating times I’ve had certainly within the last 10 years, made difficult by what I guess are the usual problems, that being solicitors, sellers and other people involved who just wouldn’t communicate with each other, or me.Claire was assigned to this sale as part of your progressions team, a role I didn’t know existed, and I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her, going above and beyond is an understatement and nothing was too much trouble for her.I can admit that towards completion I must have been a difficult client given that the sale took so long. Claire answered all of my calls and when I left messages she got back to me as soon as she could. She made every effort to assist me with delays created by the seller, communicating on my behalf and pushed for the sale to be completed on the date I needed, and ensured I was kept up to date when other people involved were not doing so.She was patient, and understanding. listened to me rant, cry and even made me laugh at times. I felt like I was talking to another human being who actually understood how stressful it was.I can’t thank her enough for the service she provided to me throughout this sale and I would like Hunters to know what a valuable member of your team she is.I am now in my new home and have been for a few weeks now. I had a very bad experience with Hunters! Be very careful with what the Sales Director tells you! It’s all lies! He tells you what you want to hear! Told me had a Porfoilo of 290 Landlords/Buy to let investors… Where are they then?? Chris Rowe cost me £260 and i lost out on 2 flats and lots of agrivation! He told me his “Mates that where buying my property where never going to pull out and have all the time in the world”! Completely the opposite! Thanks Chris👍AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! And go with another Estate Agent that you can trust what they say👍

We had originally signed up with Mansell McTaggart and started wondering if they are the right agency for us after they 1) failed to find us a buyer for almost 2 months and 2) when we had a very low offer with a complicated chain, we felt pushed into accepting this offer, were branded as “greedy” when we dared to say that we would have expected more money. Anyway, during our house search back then we contacted Hunters to find a property and spoke a few times with Ceri, but then lost our buyer with Mansell.Because we were so impressed with Ceri’s professional, caring and personal service, we decided to move away from Mansell and signed up with Hunters. Goodness – What. A. Difference.I know that I can be a difficult customer but not once did Hunters make me feel this way. They have always been approachable, they took pictures of our house that made me not want to move and they generated so much interest in our house. For comparison purposes – we had more viewings in one week with Hunters than we had with Mansell McTaggart in 6 weeks. Hunters have also a neat online system where you can see your offers, your rightmove statistics and any feedback received in one place. Harry is the youngest team member and before he conducted the first viewing, we walked with him once through our house and gave him all the intel of what we felt were great selling points, and he soaked all the information up like a sponge!They managed to secure us actually multiple offers on our property and we eventually decided to go with the shortest chain, which was not the highest offer but still a whooping 20k (!!) above the best offer we had via the other agency.The whole team is enormously friendly and I must say, really hard working. I am one of the people who was always opposed to be paying estate agents so much money because I could never see them doing a lot of work. Hunters have been worth every single penny and I will hate moving away from this area because it means I can’t use them for any future house purchases. Chris is leading the team and has just led the efforts on the sales progress until exchange of contracts yesterday. Thank you Chris, to you and your team. Whilst we are happy the stress of selling a house is over, it’s been really marvellous working with you and we thank you for everything you have done. I have never before written a recommendation for an estate agent and I hope I’ll be lucky enough to find an estate agent like you again in future.

We decided it was time to up size with 4 of us living in a 2 bed terrace house. Chris and his team came in and made the whole process very straight forward. From the start to the end of our house sale they have been so supportive. They managed to get our property photographed and online so quickly and advised us we could get £15,000 more than we thought. They organised 21 viewings in under 5 days and had the right offer in under a week after it went online. We have them aggressive timelines and they did not disappoint. Loved the team they had who all brought something different to the table. Well worth the cost as they made us more money on the sale and saved us the stamp duty costs. Terrible and not professional! ***AVOID*** Hunters collected incorrect money from my account before vacating property. It has been over a month and despite their promises, we still haven't received the funds. Not only they made error and collected too much money, they don't seems to want rerurn it. I arranged for a viewing of 2 bed room house for rent 3 weeks earlier and was told that there wasn`t any earlier appointment available. only a day before my appointment, I received a call and email to say that an offer was made on the property and it was accepted by owner. I was shocked by unprofessional approach of this team. I felt that they really don`t care about people. You expect to receive a fair opportunity but this seems not to be the case by this team. What a shamble of an estate agent. Me and my wife have been trying to view a property, they are up for rent, over nearly 2 months now. Every time we call them they keep saying they will call us back. Today my wife called them after she booked a viewing for the property for tomorrow and she called them to confirm. They call back to say the property is now gone and under offer.We were very interested in this particular property. They could have been professional enough to at least phone us and say sorry we won't be renting the property to you rather than leaving us hanging!Very unprofessional! We will now be looking at other estate agents in future.

I recently sold my house through Hunters. Why? Because I met Jessy on a viewing of a house they had for sale and fell in love with her honesty. For an agent she was a breath of fresh air. At that point I decided to dump my agent and move to Hunters. Her knowledge is amazing and after spending months on the market with another agent....I sold in a week with Hunters!! Any issues I had in the sale process she was happy to step in and resolve them with my buyer. My solicitor also likes her as she did not bug her 24/7 like some do!! Would definitely use again!!

Fantastic experience using Hunters Estate Agents in Burgess Hill to sell our house. We worked with David and Jessy who were extremely helpful and friendly. Everything is fine until a problem comes up... They are nice and kind and helpful, yes, but when a problem between a tenant and a landlord comes up, they will take the landlord's side.When a dispute between me (the tenant) and my landlord came up about the condition of the garden, they clearly took the side of the landlord and I had to go to the Dispute Resolution Process, where I was given more than 80% of the amount disputed (this is to show that my arguments are not subjectively biased).Tenants, beware!

Following the purchase of our property through Hunters in 2016, we then chose to sell through them last year. From the valuation with Jon and Jessy to the sale with Dan, it was a pleasurable experience from start to finish. We were listened to throughout the process and there was always a member of the team on hand to help with our queries the whole time. It was nice that someone could pick up on the sale and know what the latest update was if Dan wasn't available.Dan was amazing throughout and helped progress our sale with no task being too much. He gave regular updates and was very understanding, especially towards exchange when the pressure was on. It was a breath of fresh air dealing with Dan, and experiencing the personal touch during a stressful process.I would recommend using Hunters if you're thinking of selling!

We were first time buyers so really didn’t have a clue how the buying a house process works but Jessy and the team at Hunters kept us informed at all times and were always on hand to answer any of our questions. Our solicitor wasn’t the greatest at communication however we found Jessy in particular a real breath of fresh air to talk too, always willing to help and always going above and beyond for us. Hunters gave an excellent service and sold my property within 3 weeks of marketing.I had the property on the market during 2 previous years with other local agents and it languished. However all the friendly staff at Hunters were proactive and paid attention to detail, securing a quick sale at a good price.Dan patiently reassured me and negotiated really well to a successful conclusion on my rather tricky leasehold sale.I can 100% recommend Hunters... the whole team kind, approachable and helpful...Especially worth popping in to see the two new members of the team ...the puppies!

Jon leads an outstanding team who are professional, dedicated and always on the phone whenever we needed. An all round disappointing Estate agent and experience. Which centers around 2 major failings.1) We sold our home with Hunters in November 2016. Hunters handed over the keys to the new buyers 3 hours prematurely. Meaning our goodbye house ritual with our infants was rudley interrupted when the new buyers strolled in and asked me to leave. I was left trying to console 2 under 3 year olds that were unable to understand why we had been asked to leave the home they were raised in.When I spoke to the branch manager (John) he said his staff were "sorry"... thanks John. Your staff saying sorry my children were torn from thier home really helped.2) Hunters over charged us £280 on the sale of our home. This was due to what they call an oversight.I call a very lucritive oversight.The story for this is. We intially marketed with fox and sons. Who at the time seemed as organised as the chuckle brothers. Compared to hunters they now look like the appitomy of orgsnisation. Fox and sons offered us 1.2% on the sale of pur home a good deal. Hunters copied this 1.2% but.. didnt reduce it as the house was lowered in value. So we paid 1.2% on a sale that was actually £15k less than it was.For this Hunters played dumb and repeated.the following lines in order."We copied thier contract""We copied thier contract""Well thats what you signed""Thanks for the money.. thats our weekend paid for"The later may not be strictly true. But i imagine its what they said once i had hung up while they were lighting thier cigerates with the small collection of £50 notes they now have lying around.Advice to any one wanting to sell and looking at hunters. Try mansell or duffy first dont be tricked in to going Hunters.
